Music
Star Trek

I like music. Most people do. It's the one niche that people can fall back to that is uniquely theirs, yet is also shared by all who listen to a particular song and is moved by it.

This is my area to rant and rave about what I like and don't like. Of course, since music tastes are constantly changing, this page will be a work in progress, and I'll probably have to keep adding to my list. I will also be adding links to the lyrics of some of the songs or groups when I find some time.

  • All American Rejects
  • Anime Music - I like good anime and JPop music, but most people don't listen to JPop so s'alright if I keep this short.
  • Apoptygma Bezerk
  • Coldplay
  • Cure
  • Depeche Mode - It's dark, has rhythm, and they have a lot of songs that are great for any mood. Some of my favorite songs are A Question of Lust, But Not Tonight, Enjoy the Silence, Everything Counts, In Your Room, Insight, Personal Jesus, The Things You Said, and Walking In My Shoes.
  • Dream Theater
  • Erasure - A lot of people don't know them, and don't care for them, but I really like most of their music. I would say the number one thing people don't like is the high notes that tend to be reached in certain songs. Some of my favorite songs: A Little Respect, Ship of Fools, Chains of Love, Imagination, Always, Miracle, Because You're So Sweet, Heavenly Action, Oh L'amour, Crown of Thorns, Sometimes, and lots more.
  • Enya - she's just so... soothing.
  • Final Fantasy Music - it is great music. Some of my favorite CDs would be Final Fantasy Pray - Vocal Collections, which contrary to the title is not all that theistic, and also Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite.
  • Nerf Herder
  • No Doubt (mostly older)
  • Offspring - one of my all time favorite bands.
  • Sarah McLachlan - some people can't stand her because they find her too slow and thinks she wails too much. I, however, find that a lot of her songs fit the melancholy moody mood rainy blue day feeling that we all get now and then. I find her to be a very sincere singer, who knows how to find and release the emotions that are hard to name. I really like her lyrics. Some of my favorite songs by her: I Love You, Possession, Wait, Ice Cream, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, Black and White, and Angel.
  • Stabbing Westward - There new album is much different from what they normally produce, but I still think it is a great album and shows off their diverse talents. Unfortunately, we now must say goodbye to this group...
  • Tool - great musicians.
  • Tori Amos - I dunno, I think of Enya and then I think of Tori. I think most girls just like Tori.
  • Rush - They write and perform great music. Drums are cool. Rush is cool. Again, people mainly don't like Rush because of Geddy Lee's voice. Some of my favorite Rush songs: Limelight, Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, Closer to the Heart, Freewill, Bravado, Fly By Night, Subdivisions, Mystic Rhythms, Entre Nous, Presto, and some other ones too.
  • U2
  • VNV Nation - Electronic, Orchestral, moody sounding different but cool music. Hard to put a name to but should be checked out even though they are mostly unknown. Favorite songs include: Standing, Legion, Kingdom, Dark Angel, and Distant.
  • Weezer
  • Zard - She would be in the JPop category.
  • NO COUNTRY - all the time, any time.
