Operation Torch Bearer East Troy Municipal Airport Information

Delavan A/P

East Troy Municipal Airport is located 2 nm northeast of the City of East Troy and 0.2 nm east of the intersection of I-43 and Highway 20. The airport is just north of Highway 20. The airport has lights. Fuel is available at the airport. Tie down space is available. Aircrews must bring their own tie down ropes.

The west end of 08/26 rises up toward the west. This results in a "down hill" landing when landing to the east and an "up hill" departure to the west. Crews unfamiliar with this downslope landing tend to use more runway than normal when landing on 26.

East Troy will only be used in the event of strong cross winds at Delavan. Arriving aircraft should call "Delavan CAP base" or "Bluemound 710" within 20 nm of Delavan to determine if operations have shifted to East Troy.

If operations have changed to East Troy, CAP will man the airport from 0730 to 1830 on Saturday 11 November, and from 0730 to 1600 on Sunday 12 November. There is a pay phone for use by crews arriving outside of those times. The CAP phone number will be posted at the telephone. A CAP shuttle van will be available to move crews and passengers between the airport and mission headquarters, restaurants, and hotels.

Aircrews should receive a flight release from their home FROs before departure and should present a completed CAPF 104 (without a sortie number) to the Air Operations Coordinator upon initial arrival at the airport. Since this mission is a Command Post Exercise, the only flight operations will be inbound, outbound, and test program flights.
