Delavan's Lake Lawn Airport is located 2 nm east of the City of Delavan and 1 nm east of the intersection of I-43 and Highway 50. The airport is just north of Highway 50. The airport has lights, but the rotating beacon is located on the Lake Lawn Lodge water tower south of, and across the highway from, the airport. The airport currently has no fuel. Fuel is available at East Troy Municipal Airport and Grand Geneva Air Port on the east side of Lake Geneva. Tie down space is available. Aircrews must bring their own tie down ropes. In the event of strong cross winds operations will shift to East Troy Municipal Airport (57C) since East Troy's main runway is 08/26 instead of Lake Lawn's 18/36. Arriving aircraft should call "Delavan CAP base" or "Bluemound 710" within 20 nm of Delavan to determine if operations have changed airports. CAP will man Lake Lawn Airport from 1900 to 2200 on Friday 10 November, from 0730 to 1830 on Saturday 11 November, and from 0730 to 1600 on Sunday 12 November. There is a pay phone for use by crews arriving outside of those times. The CAP phone number will be posted at the telephone. A CAP shuttle van will be available to move crews and passengers between the airport and mission headquarters, restaurants, and hotels. Aircrews should receive a flight release from their home FROs before departure and should present a completed CAPF 104 (without a sortie number) to the Air Operations Coordinator upon initial arrival at the airport. Since this mission is a Command Post Exercise, the only flight operations will be inbound, outbound, and test program flights. NOTE: CTAF at Delavan is now 122.9 For more detailed airport information click here.
